An international think-tank SIPRI has warned that Pakistan is in danger of losing control of part of its to terrorists.
Releasing a report in the Swedish capital of Stockholm, director of SIPRI Daniel Nord said Pakistan may be close to the danger of losing control of part of its nuclear arsenal to terrorists and added that it was a matter of grave concern.
South Asia, where relations between India and Pakistan seem perpetually tense, is the only place in the world where you have the nuclear arms race, he said.
The report said Pakistan has almost reached parity with India on nuclear weapons and charged that the two nations were expanding their capacity to produce fissile material for military purposes.
It, however, said while India could have 80- 110 nuclear warheads today, up from 60- 80 last year, Pakistan could have increased its count from 70- 90 to 90- 110.
Labelling Pakistan's nuclear programme as almost the fastest in the world, SIPRI said both Islamabad and New Delhi continue to develop new ballistic and cruise missile systems capable of delivering nuclear weapons.
It also said Islamabad was now turning to producing lighter precision warheads for use in restricted spaces.

Anti-corruption activist anna hazare is leading a day-long hunger strike by civil society activists at Delhi's Rajghat on Wednesday to protest against the government's action during a satyagraha staged by yoga guru Baba Ramdev last week.
The fast is being held at Rajghat after police refused permission for Jantar Mantar, where prohibitory orders are in force. Prayer meetings will go on at Rajghat through the day as part of Hazare's satyagraha. A debate on the Lokpal Bill will also be held around 4 pm before the fast winds up at 7.30 pm.
Here's a blow-by-blow account of Hazare's satyagraha as it unfolds:
1.40 pm: Fast continues at Rajghat.
12.40 pm: "Crackdown on Ramdev's supporters murder of democracy," says Hazare.
12.35 pm: "Our movement for a fair Lokpal Bill will continue. The government wants to stifle our rights," says Hazare.
12.25 pm: "Our movement is against corruption and not for any votebank," says Hazare.
12.20 pm: "The Constitution gives people the right to protest, hold dharnas and sit-ins against injustice. Baba Ramdev didn't do anything against national interest," says Hazare. "The agitation that we began in April against corruption needs to be spread across the country."
12.15 pm: Anna Hazare begins addressing supporters
12.07 pm: Many in crowd prevented from putting up placards and banners of yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
