That's what I thought, but I think it was more to do with the fact that her mum used to let me have some of Jenny's sweets.  :wait: :he:

I'll tell you a funny story. When I was about 6 I told my Dad I loved Jenny (another 6 year old from my infant class at school). My Dad said, " Sala pyar da, uriaH, mein tenu sidha kardaN. haje kal nappi (diaper) choN niklia te aj pyaar karda phirda"

Bhar asal'ch pyaar ho janda bhar sadai dil nu magroN pata lagda

'IF' by Rudyard Kipling
(This is the poem that gives me inspiration)

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master,
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

koi gal ni eh ta uk de vich hunda hi rahindaaaaaaaaaa

Shad yar, ehe tu kidaN di gal kiy a?

It is the first ever recorded case in the UK and NEVER a common occurrence. I am tempted to give you the same advice my Latin teacher gave the whole class when we were pre pubescent ten year olds; he would say

Do not drink Bacardi because alcohol “infitialis presencia in vestri potestas habeo videlicet sentential” But I’ll say it to you in Punjabi. Bacardi na peevo karke sharab thuade damaag te ulta asar kardi hai, nali thuadi soach vichar nu vi galat banaa dindi hai.

I think this is funny for some reason :loll:

What exactly do you find funny about this report? I can’t quite see the funny side of nine month old babies being bitten and suffering as a result.

Either I have had a sense of humour bypass or you have had your sympathy gene removed. In any case I just fail to see children in extreme pain a laughing matter, irrespective of what you might feel about the parents.

Mere Dost,

I came across this report today. It is really worth reading. It really shows the plight of the Ahmadi people in Pakistan. Have a read. It is from the BBC and dated Wednesday 16th June.

I haven't seen Robin Hood, but I saw the first half of Prince of Persia, it didn't catch my attention, so I walked out... =/

I've seen Robin Hood. I would give it 7 out of 10. It does have some historical truths in it. Such as the Forresters Charter, which stopped every one hunting in forrests because all animals including wild ones belonged to the Crown and King Richard the Lionheart being shot in the throat by a bowman.

Knowledge / A Woman's place.
« on: June 16, 2010, 07:27:43 PM »
Back in 2008 a research was conducted in the UK regarding the Woman’s place in life. It was established that the majority of the people felt that a woman’s place is at home. It isn’t that much different in the US, Australia and Europe.  It looks as though nothing much has changed over the centuries.

Where do you believe a woman’s place is?

Love Pyar / Re: DO you believe in long distance relationship ?
« on: June 16, 2010, 06:51:10 PM »
Long distance love? I tried it once; I swore I would never do it again. It’s nonsense.

I cannot love what I cannot see
I cannot love what I cannot feel
I cannot love what I cannot touch
I cannot love what I cannot hold

The simple lack of her is more to me than others' presence.

Love is an ocean and will reach the shore but a rudderless boat floating will just go with the tide; which leads me to believe that long distance love is unsustainable.
