I guess 11. 11 Kudrat Ji & y4nky j4tt ji
Technically speaking there are no zeros between 1 and a 100; you see 0 is 1 less that 1, so to speak, and then there are no zeros after one. The zero that is written next to a number does not make a zero but a new number such as 10 (ten) and so on, which indeed is not zero.
So a pedantic mathematician might argue the answer, of course, is zero as in nil.

I am appalled by this story. :angr:
I have discussed this with some committee members at our Gurdevara here in London. I will be forwarding the link to as many other Gurdevaras as I can and hopefully they will make donations. This is a fight worth fighting.
Thank you for bringing this to PJ boards.

Kudrat Ji.
In the UK the hottest curry available from Indian restaurants is a “Vindaloo”.
But the origins of the vindaloo are not Indian at all. Vindaloo was concocted after the cheap meals the Portuguese soldiers use te get in Goa during Portugal’s rule there. Vindaloo is a very popular chilli and vinegar based fiery hot dish from Goa, on the western coast of India. Goa was occupied by the Portuguese for a number of years and so naturally, the Portuguese style of cooking has a marked influence on the local dishes of Goa. Vindaloo is one such dish, which is popular not only in India, but also very popular among the Europeans and other westerners. This curry can be made with any type of meat such as chicken, beef or pork or even with seafood. Some Indian restaurants include ‘aloo’ in this recipe, but the original vindaloo dishes do not have aloo. Here is a simple recipe for Chicken Vindaloo. Ingredients 1 kg. diced chicken 1 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tsp. cardamom seeds 1 tsp. whole black peppercorns 12 nos. whole cloves 1tbsp. chilli powder 4 cinnamon sticks 2 tsp. fenugreek seeds 2 tsp. ginger, fresh, minced 2 tsp. cumin seeds 2 tsp. mustard powder 2 tsp. turmeric powder 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. garlic, minced 1 cup vinegar, or cooking wine 4-6 tblsp vegetable oil 2 onions medium chopped 4 bay leaves 300 ml. water
Method
Gently roast the dry spices from coriander seeds through to cumin seeds for about 5 minutes in a fry-pan on low heat. Put these roasted spices in a blender along with mustard, turmeric, salt, garlic and the vinegar to form vindaloo sauce. Add little water if necessary. Marinate the chicken in this vindaloo sauce for over 8 hours in a non-metallic bowl. Heat oil and saute bay leaves and onions until soft. Remove and set aside. Now fry the marinated chicken for a few minutes, adding more oil if necessary Add the remaining vindaloo sauce, sauted onion, and water. Simmer till the chicken is tender (stirring well) and the curry is thick. Add salt and chilli to suit your taste if necessary. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with steamed Basmati rice. I hope you will enjoy this delicious curry recipe.
Funnily enough you name the “Brick Lane” restaurant. In the east end of London there is a Bangladeshi area known as Brick Lane area. Brick Lane itself is full of Bengali restaurants. White folk love it because the food is cheap.

I am pretty sure Burqa ban will get into action soon I have no hate for anyone but I think thats because of security issues. People have used this sort of clothing for doing some illegal activities may be that also adds up
That's true brother. However, France is not really going on that issue. It is going on the issue of a secular society.

Rubie wht u knw bout punjab ??? Kade punjab bare padia kuch ?? Ajj tuhanu eh te dikhda k punjab duji state nalo better aa par jo punjab da beda gark karta oh nazar nai aunda. Jehde kahinde k punjab sikhan da nai punjabiya da.. Main tuhanu ek question puchda K UDO TUHADE EH PUNJABI JA TUSI KITHE C JADO LANGUAGE DE BASE TE PUNJABI SUBA BANAN LAGA C TE EH LOK JIHNA DI TUSI VAKALAT KARDE AA EHNA NE PUNJABI NU APNI LANGUAGE MANAN TO V INKAR KARTA C.
Tezy_Sandhu ji Acha ji, mein tuhadi gal smaj da haN. Bhar meinu tusi ehna daso, jehda koi Sikh nahi hai ohnaN nu tusi ki kahoN ge. Mere khyaal vich taN a gal hai ; jehde Punjab vich Sikh leader hai pehlaN ohnaN diaN akhaN kholo.
Let me put it like this.
Whilst I fully understand that Sikhs and the language of Punjab are very important to the wellbeing of the Punjab I would also suggest that the many Sikh leaders are not entirely honest to the cause of the Punjab. They are as corrupt as the next guy. When I say that Punjab is not just made up of Sikhs I mean exactly that. To throw away the rest is a recipe for utter disaster. It is a road to bloodshed. Just have a look at the Islamic world; from Pakistan all the way to Algeria, from Egypt all the way to Darfur; we do not need that.
I object strongly to you suggesting cowardice on my or anyone else’s part because the answer to the Punjab’s problem lies not in the religions practiced there but the cohabitation of a land in compromise of all of the peoples of the Punjab. I do not believe the Talibanisation of the Punjab by fundamentalists will ever be good for the Punjab.
To answer your question about knowledge of the Punjab, I was educated in Jalandhar’s Khalsa College as well as attending Uni in the UK. I feel I have enough knowledge and experience of Punjab and it’s turbulent past. Trust me when I say that if it was down to me I would reunite the whole of the Punjab, from the borders of Afghanistan to the walls of Delhi. I would restore its past pride; but as it stands today I am not sure whether the Punjab can withstand the rupture that would be caused by forced separation.
Finally Tezi_Sandhu ji, I give you a chance to convince me I am wrong. Believe me, I love the Punjab and desperately want to be wrong, but the problem is I am a realist. I promise, if you can convince me to different from the view that I have then I will be forever a separatist. But please do not insult my intelligence in any way as I have not done so to you.

I'm sure you must already know about the Turban ban that France has imposed when taking governmental photos, such as driver license. And how governmental schools in France refused to allow turbaned sikh children to enter the premises. This is a burqa ban today, but tomorrow this could evolve into something more radical.
I understand that hiding your whole body and face is a security issue. Our gurus did not impose the same burqa practices from the Arabs. So we, Sikhs, must not encourage burqa wearing as something of a human right. But the Sikh turban hides nothing but the hair.
Grenade Singh ji
I understand what you say. However, it is equally bad to ban the Turban. People can still wear the turban in the street.
Banning the Burqa or Turban is not based on security. It is more based on France’s secular stance which is in conflict with France signing up to the EHR conventions.
Our Gurus did not impose the Arabs’ burqa because Sikhism does not believe in it.
I suppose it depends on how you view it, if you see it as part of your religious attire then there is a case for freedom of choice; especially if you live in a democracy. So while, as a Sikh, I am not encouraging it I am questioning France’s position.

Mand 22 thanx a lot info share karan layi. Bahut wadia detail provide karayi aa. Rahi gal janta di... Eh janta 22 g dig jaan te dar to ek kadam patno v dardi aa te ja fer oh lok ne jihna nu apne feture di chinta aa sikhi bache na bache koi parwa nai. 22 G india ch sab kuch control RSS de hath ch aa te oh sab dharma nu hadap jana chahundi aa. For example jive Budh dharam ehda shikar ban chuka allready.
Keon Ji, tusiN taN sanu darakal hi banaa dita. Eh taN ghalat hai.
Punjab kaliaN SikhaN da nahi hai. Punjab PunjabiaN da hai. Jina chir eh gal nahi damaag vich pehndi ohna chikar Punjab kadi vi nahi azad ho sakda. Eho gal Bhaghat Singh kehnda fansi chad giya si, bhar o sare India di vi ehi gal kehnda si.
We clearly have to understand that the Punjab is not made up of just Sikhs. 1947 tore the heart out of Punjab and it cannot afford the same wounds again; given that it has still not recovered from it.

Burqa ban moves one step closer
July 14, 2010
FRANCE has moved one step closer to banning women from wearing the burqa in public, after the draft law was passed by a large majority of MPs. The National Assembly adopted the text at first reading by 335 votes to one. It will now be examined by the Senate after the summer break in September and if it passes senators without modification will become law.
The support came mostly from the governing UMP party and the Nouveau Centre - the Socialists, Greens and Communist Party boycotted the vote. The Socialist Party said a total ban would be legally risky to enforce and hoped the Conseil Constitutionnel would throw out the law.
The party believes that any ban should be limited to public services and shops, not open spaces. The legislation, drawn by up by justice minister Michèle Alliot-Marie, does not specifically target the burqa but refers to any attempt to "hide the face".
Doing so in a public place would come with a €150 fine and/or a compulsory enrolment on a citizenship course. Anyone who forces a woman to wear the burqa faces a fine of up to €30,000 and a year in prison.
If passed, the law will come into effect in spring 2011, allowing six months for an "educational" campaign to raise awareness. The government estimates that about 2,000 women in France wear the burqa. Personally, irrespective of what we think of the full Islamic veil to ban it would be an infringement of human rights as laid down by the European Human Rights laws. Where will they stop? will they ban the Sikh turban?. I think France is being heavy handed on this issue.ALSO CNN Report here http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe/01/26/france.burqa.ban/index.html

Hanji Gurpinder Mundji I am kind of against khalistan if u wont mind wud like to put some questions over this. As you have talked about saftey about people living outside of punjab but we need to first think abt people living inside Punjab.. I think it will take long time to set up own Economic and strong Defence infrastructure.. onni der vich apne teh kise hor country ne attack kar dena.. fer ki banega.Menu Lagda India Govt di place teh these other countries r playing "Divide and Rule" with our india..
Kudrat ji. I wrote this on the other thread. I agree with your sentiment. "I do not appreciate India’s idea of democracy. I see great social injustice in India as a whole and also in the Punjab. I believe that Sikhs have had a raw deal ever since 1947. I also feel that the strength of the Punjab has been eroded ever since. We see that from the continuous division of the Punjab. I also find it deplorable because that division has crept into Sikhism its self. The “malavat” continues on a daily basis and many Sikhs are being divided from their own teachings. That is what worries me.
I want a fair deal for all Punjabi’s, not just Sikhs because we cannot build a Punjab based on division.
My brother, I respect your views but I also realise that mera Punjab is a beautiful place steeped in history and one day more blood is going to flow down its rivers."

yeah bro everything exist side by side !!! In Khalisthan....... What is india giving us? Do You call that Democracy?
No my brother, I do not appreciate India’s idea of democracy. I see great social injustice in India as a whole and also in the Punjab. I believe that Sikhs have had a raw deal ever since 1947. I also feel that the strength of the Punjab has been eroded ever since. We see that from the continuous division of the Punjab. My brother, I respect your views but I also realise that mera Punjab is a beautiful place steeped in history and one day more blood is going to flow down its rivers.
Come that day I will be happy to give blood for the Punjab to be free.

Gurpinder Mand ji
Can you also explain how financially viable will the Punjab be? and will it have to depend on India for water?. As far as water is concerned we already see that India is tightening it’s noose on the supply of water to Pakistan by building damns on rivers that Pakistan depends on for it’s water.

Gurpinder Mand ji
I have read your post with interest; admirable as it is it does not answer one basic question and that is "Can fundamentalism and democracy exist side by side? After all we have seen the “Talibanisation” of many Islamic countries and we have learned from that experience that the net result is that democracy has been sacrificed.

I prefer Dolly Parton's version;
Love is like a butterfly As soft and gentle as a sigh The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings Love makes your heart feel strange inside It flutters like soft wings in flight Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
I feel it when you're with me It happens when you kiss me That rare and gentle feeling that I feel inside Your touch is soft and gentle Your kiss is warm and tender Whenever I am with you I think of butterflies
Love is like a butterfly The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings Love makes your heart feel strange inside It flutters like soft wings in flight Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
Your laughter brings me sunshine Everyday is spring time And I am only happy when you are by my side How precious is this love we share How very precious, sweet and rare Together we belong like daffodils and butterflies
Love is like a butterfly As soft and gentle as a sigh The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings Love makes your heart feel strange inside It flutters like soft wings in flight Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
What a wig
