I am afraid it is beyond ridiculous. It is indeed sad that this kind of punishment is still carried out in some parts of the world. X_X :rabb: 323

You ain't seen anything yet; London will erupt over the next few months and as the cutbacks take bite the Coalition Govt might fall. The students protest stems from The Liberal Democrats’ breaking promises they made to students before the general election that they would oppose any student fee rises. What price treachery. :angr: :angr:

News Khabran / Gang-rape of a girl, based on court order in Pakistan« on: December 10, 2010, 07:14:23 AM »
Islamabad, Pakistan - 04 Dec 2010A
Pakistani tribal council recently ordered the gang rape of an 18-year-old girl as a punishment to her family after her younger brother was seen walking with a girl from a higher class. The rape occurred June 22 in the southern Punjab province. According to theAssociated Press, A tribal court, tribal affiliated "Mastoi", ordered to gang rape of an 18 years old girl in public. The sentence was executed While were watching it about a thousand people and girl’s father too. Based on this report, the girl's brother, 11 year old teenage and from Gujar tribal, had relationship with a girl from Mastoi that she was higher in terms of social. People of the city had seen them when they were walking in the street. Tribal courts of Mastoi, ordered to a gang rape of the boy’s sister in public, for revenge of this act. The four men selected by court for doing rape, while the girl and her father are giving up claim with cries but they raped the girl in front of her father. The private Human Rights Commission of Pakistan demanded that all those involved in the rape, which took place June 22 in the village of Meerwala in southern Punjab province, be punished. Police said the victim's father had filed criminal charges against the four men involved in the case. Police said they picked up eight relatives of the suspects to pressure the perpetrators into surrendering. "We will spare no efforts to do justice" for the victim, police official Malik Saeed said According to CBS News, "The violence against women is not a new phenomenon, but incidents of gang-rape have suddenly increased in Pakistan," said Naeem Mirza, a spokesman for Pakistan's Aurat Foundation, a women's rights organization. "Mostly, those who commit gang-rapes or kill women in the name of honor are influential tribesmen or feudal, therefore, they escape punishment," Mirza said. "Women are often punished for the crimes committed by male members of their families." The gang-rape has outraged rights groups, who say the increase in violence against women reflects the demeaning status of women in the country who are victims of a centuries-old tribal justice system. "Usually, families of the victim of rape don't report these matters to the police to avoid further shame and disgrace," Mirza said Pakistan has a tradition of tribal justice in which crimes or affronts to dignity are punished outside the framework of Pakistani law. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has demanded an end to punishments by tribal councils. Kamla Hayyat, of the commission, said the group will send a fact-finding mission to the victim's village to determine what happened and provide help to her. "The increasing incidents of terrible atrocities against women are a terrible reflection on the state of society and the status of women within it," commission chairman Afrasiab Khattak said in a statement Link below. http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/7524165-group-rape-to-a-girl-based-on-court-order-in-pakistan 328

Dads are often the most misunderstood part of the family unit. As a rule, men have trouble displaying their emotions. This is product of our society that believes that it is not macho to show emotions. Fathers may have been shamed into repressing their emotions and may pass this on to their children. On the other hand a father who can show his children that a real man is one who shows emotion is a great gift to his children. A father plays a huge role in his children's development. Hopefully, he will live up to the challenge of being the best Dad that he can be.
God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... That's right, Rover is history now. It went bust a few years back. However, BMW bought the rights to the Mini and it is the only production vehicle left which had it's roots in British Leyland and Rover. It is a shame really.

You know what is funny, the engine to that car was developed in the States. It was abandoned by GM. A British Leyland engineer spotted it sitting in a dusty corner of a GM factory. He bought the rights to it and fitted it to an earlier Rover way back in 1968. That engine and all of it's variants ran for 40 years in about twenty different cars. It was only killed off about three years ago. :

Mere Veer, a few years back I had one of these. Click on the link.
It's a Rover SD1, I don't know if they sold them in Aus but it had a 3.5litre V8 with EFi. It was fantastic classic 70's early 80's car. The UK Police used them too. 336
