What color thongs you're wearing today?
And then you can add another question to the same question, "how comfy have they been?"

:loll:

Knowledge / Re: Things I've learnt :/
« on: July 11, 2015, 04:07:49 AM »
There are certain things I've learnt in life as well. Some I learnt from my own personal experiences, some from the elder males in my life and some from other people's experiences.

So below listed are a few things that I learnt from the real life and these have to do with being a better man, a survivor and a leader whilst you fight through life.

1) Don’t bite off more than you can chew.

2) Never break a sweat even under high pressures.

3) Patience really is a virtue.

4) Life is too short for regrets.Better to learn from them and move on, than wasting too much time thinking about it, because you have already done it, haven't you?

5) Most people don’t forget, so never do anything bad to someone until they deserve it, or else be prepared for a cheap shot coming your way.

6) Decisions should always be made using the head than the heart.

7) From fear and respect - always choose fear for the enemies, because fear is a better deterrent.

8) Nothing lasts forever.

9) True men endure the pain rather than screaming and whining.

10) Always work to be reliable.

11) Punctuality is key.

12) Your wisdom is your greatest weapon, so embrace it!

13) Making a bad decision is better than being indecision.

14) Don’t smack bottlenecks.Rather try for not letting bottlenecks form, by treating everyone equally.

15) If you have to crush somebody, crush them with class!

16) If you’re not the one calling the shots, then probably you will not be a happy man.So, at some point of time in
life (not too late), every man must start working for himself than for somebody else.

17) Never let your emotions rule you.

18) When in doubt, follow your gut!

I'll add some more if I feel the need to.

Knowledge / Re: Engineering World ( how stuffs works)
« on: June 30, 2015, 03:00:16 AM »
Well the reason why I mentioned piston aviation engines was because not many people may know that the same principle and mechanism used for putting a vehicle into motion is/was also used for putting an aircraft in the air.

Radial engines came later, prior to that they used inline engines (similar to the ones used in cars) for the aircrafts.Infact some of these engines were also turbocharged, depending on the requirement.

All in all, a good insight on the radial engines and its differentiation from the inline or column engines with respect to the crankshaft.

Good post for an overview of how a jet engine functions.
Thanks for sharing.

Just to add, the speed of sound is 1225 km/h or 761.2 m/h (661.5 knots), so an engine producing a speed more than that of the sound is supersonic.

Jet engines producing a flow velocity of 1.2–5.0 Mach come under the supersonic regime.

You can try posting something about the radial piston engines that were used in the old propeller passenger aircrafts and also the fighter aircrafts used during the World War era. These engines too produced enough thrust.

Cheerio!

« on: February 17, 2015, 07:01:02 AM »
You forgot the most common thing in Kashmir - the Kashmiri Pink color tea, known as 'Kahwah', generally taken during the noon.
I never liked it though (Lol), but I thought I could share it here.

Preparation

Noon chai is traditionally made from special tea leaves, milk, salt, pistachios, almonds, cardamom, and cinnamon and cooked in a samavar.A pinch of baking soda is added to help give it more of a pronounced pink color. A recent variant preparation of this tea also includes sugar but it is not traditionally consumed in Kashmir.

Dal Baati Churma

I've had it a few times and I liked it.
The native for this cuisine is Rajasthan, but is also pretty famous in Gujarat as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Kesari bhaat

Just some additional info: it's known as Kesari Bhaat in South Karnataka and as Sheera in North Karnataka (it's known as Sheera in the neighbouring state of Maharashtra as well)

Mysore Pak

I just love Mysore Paks!

« on: February 17, 2015, 06:34:37 AM »
I've tried it all.
I love South Indian food, especially Chicken Chettinad was my favorite back then when I was a non-vegetarian (yes, presently I'm a pure vegetarian).

There are even more delicacies from Tamil Nadu that you can add here.

Thanks for sharing!

I don't want you to leave Deepi.

Whatever you wrote, is straight from your heart and very honest, and I really respect and appreciate that.Thank you for such kind words!

But again, me saying all of this does not mean I'm saying good bye to you.
I hope to see you again here, soon!

Take care .
