French woman pinning a flower to honour sikh soldiers arriving in France "In the last two world wars, 83,005 turban-wearing Sikh soldiers were killed and 109,045 were wounded for the freedom of Britain and the world enduring shell fire, with no other protection but the turban, the symbol of their faith'" General Sir Frank Messervy, KCSI, KBE, CB, DSO. From the forward of Colonel F.T. Birdwood OBE, The Sikh Regiment in the Second World War.
When the First World War broke out in 1914, there were six battalions of the Sikh Regiment forming part of the British Army. They were named as 14th Ferozepur Sikhs, 15th Ludhiana Sikhs, 35th Sikhs, 36th Sikhs, 45th Sikhs and 47th Sikhs. Since Sikh soldiers were known for their bravery, the British employed all their battalions, except the 35th Sikhs, for fighting at such far-away places like Egypt, Palestine, Mesopotamia, Gallipoli and France.
With the outbreak of war in Europe, India, the Crown Jewel of the British Empire, joined the Allies in battle on the 4th of August 1914.Contributing the most volunteers of any of the British imperial holdings that fought in the war, India produced between 900,000 to 1.5 million troops for combat by 1919. Of these troops, the Sikhs, one of the two loyal 'martial races' of the British Raj, rallied in enormous numbers for the King, Empire, and the defence of Europe.
At the beginning of the war, Sikh military personnel numbered around 35,000 men of the 161,000 troops of the Indian Army, around 22% of the armed forces, yet the Sikhs only made up less than 2% of the total Indian population. By the end of the war 100,000 Sikh volunteers joined the British Armed forces with a few Sikhs also contributing to the French Air Service and the American Expeditionary Force.
SIKH MONUMENTS IN EUROPE
The "Black Lions," as the Arabs called them in Mesopotamia, of the Punjab sacrificed their lives for the defence of freedom in Europe for an ally that was ruling their own homeland, yet they did it out of honour and loyalty.
I will try to add MORE bravery stories of these Sikh martyrs who didn't fight for any race, religion but just for the only reason that is "HUMANITY".

Mere Valo v Sarian nu Guru Harkrishan Sahib ji de Prakash Diwas diyan Lakh Lakh WadhaiyanGuru Har Krishan was born in Rupnagar, Punjab, India to Guru Har Rai and Kishan Kaur (Mata Sulakhni). Before his death in October 1661, Har Rai designated his younger son Har Krishan as the next Guru. Har Rai chose Har Krishan, rather than his elder son Ram Rai, because Ram Rai was in collusion with the Mughal Empire. Har Krishan was only five years old when he succeeded his father as Guru.
Guru Har Krishan (7 July 1656 – 30 March 1664) was the eighth of the Eleven Gurus of Sikhism. He became Guru on 7 October 1661, succeeding his father, Guru Har Rai. Before Guru Har Krishan died, he nominated his granduncle, Guru Tegh Bahadur, as the next Guru of the Sikhs.
The tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh wrote in his famous “Vaar Sri Bhagauti Ji Ki” –
"Sri HarKrishan Dhiaiyai,Jis Dithe Sab Dukh Jaye”
“Remember Sri Harkrishan, whose vision dispels all pains”
WAHGURUJI KA KHALSA, WAHIGURUJI KI FATEH!!

The phall has achieved notoriety as the hottest generally available dish from Indian restaurants. For example, the well-known Brick Lane Curry House in New York has a "P'Hall of Fame" on their website and will provide customers who finish the dish with a free drink and a certificate. In the UK, a charity competition was based on competitors eating increasingly hot phalls.
Phaal, which contains ten different chilies and emits so much heat that chefs wear a protective mask while making it, first appeared on Brick Lane’s menu in 2002, but an appearance on the Travel Channel’s sleeper stunt-food hit “Man Vs. Food” in 2008 put it on the map for local stunt diners.
On the show, host Adam Richman took the “Phaal Challenge,” in which diners brave 16 ounces of the ultra-spicy curry in pursuit of a free beer, a certificate of completion and a place in the restaurant’s online Phaal of fame. Richman finished his order, and others soon arrived to replicate that feat.

thanks for the above statements.
I have something in my mind I'll write it down for you:
Things aren't same ..what they seem to be ! Are they nice and easy ? or are they hard has hell ?..People try to show me the way they want. But I don't wana see that ! I wana explore before I go any further and make an assumption!- Rubbie
