WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH A Sultanpur bard named Bhai Bhikha decided to retire from the World so that he could search for creator, Waheguru. Whenever he heard of any Saint he went and waited on them. He would do alot of seva for these Saints. For a long time he remained as a pupil of a Brahman, without obtaining any peace of mind. One day Bhai Bhikha began to cry and wondered why he had not progressed spiritually. He prayed to Waheguru, to guide him and let him met a true saint, so that he could obtain salvation. Upon this he was told to go to Goindwal to go and see the king of the world, the guru that everyone was speaking about, Satguru Sri Guru Amar Das Ji Maharaj. Bhai Bhikha started on his journey to Goindwal, full of devotion and praises for his beloved Lord. He was so happy that he was finally going to meet, someone who could carry him across this world ocean. He stood absorbed in thought for a short time, and then sang the following in praise of Satguru Ji: "By the Guru's divine knowledge and meditation man's soul is blended with Waheguru. He, who with single mind fixes his attention on Waheguru, shall know him who is the truest of true. His mind shall not fly or wander who restrains his lust and anger. He who dwells in Waheguru's land and obeys his sweet order shall obtain wisdom. He who has done good works in this age shall know Waheguru. If a Guru be found he willingly and cheerfully grants a sight of him. I have continued searching for a saint and I have seen many holy men - Sayasis, ascetics, and sweet voiced pandits - I have roamed for one whole year, but non of these have satisfied me. I heard what they had to say, but I was not pleased with their conduct. What shall I say of the merits of those who renouncing Waheguru's name and who attach themselves to mammon? Waheguru has caused me to meet the Guru of the world; as you, O Waheguru, keep me, so I abide to your sweet hukam." Hearing Bhai Bhikha's words Satguru Ji put his hand on his forehead in token of accepting him as a disciple. Satguru Ji gave Bhai Bhikha the true Name, and made him happy. Having found the True Guru, Bhikha returned to his native town and lived there for the rest of his days. Keeping this image of Satguru Sri Guru Amar Das Maharaj in his heart, he applied himself to meditation and contemplations. This Shabad is by Bhatt Jal Jaalap in Svaiyay Mehl 5 on Ang 1394

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH As Bhai Jetha, grew up he used to go and visit the society of holy men. He would give them whatever he recieved from his parents. His parents, wanted him to turn to some occupation for his livelihood, but this was not his own intention. Near to Bhai Jetha's house, there lived a poor man, who made his living by selling boiled pulse. At this man's suggestion Bhai Jetha's Mother, boiled some pulse and placed the boiled pulses in a basket, and gave it to Bhai Jetha to sell, at the market so that he might do something profitable. An ordinary person would have taken the pulse to the bazars and streets for sale, but Bhai Jetha went off with his basket to the river Ravi and there he sat down. He soon saw a company of holy men coming towards him from the opposite side, and he waited until thy had bathed and emerged from the river. They were very hungry and had not eaten in days. They saw Bhai Jetha sitting down with his basket and asked him if he had any food he could give them. They told Bhai Jetha that what was given in the name of the Lord, Akal Purakh, would fructify a thousandfold, and that Akal Purakh would bless his earnings. Bhai Jetha gave them the whole contents of his basket and then he went home. The holy men were very pleased, and prayed that Waheguru would reward the boy for his compassionate and timely gift. Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Ram Das Ji Maharaj, the king of kings and the saint of saints.

Vaaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsaa Vaaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh
Narad Muni, a bhramgyani once visited the tenth Guru Ji and presented him with the feathers of a "Humayu" bird. Guru Ji tied each feather to five arrows, strung them on a bow and shot them in all four directions and one up into the heavens. He asked him Gursikhs to go and look for the arrows he had fired. They looked hard but couldn't find them and returned empty handed to thier Guru. Guru ji then explained to the Gursikhs that he had been presented the feathers of the Hamuyu bird by Narad Muni Ji, and this bird of the sky had power in all its body parts. Guru Ji explained whatever was attached to the parts of that bird, the bird was able to take away to its own haven. Guru Ji was describing that just as the Humayu's feather had taken the arrows to the bird's sanctury, Mool Muntra, Gur Mantar and Gurbani also worked like those feathers except they could take people to the sanctury of God. So whosoever recites these and practises on his Naam, those Gursikh will eventually find bhramgian and be carried to the country of parbrahm(God), the one which is above the entire universe. To obtain God one should have strong faith and determination.
