Fateh fine you become the next bhindrawala and make khalistan. I was talking about all punjabi gabru's, not 1 or 2.

yes bro mai ona di jagah ta nhi lai sakda but ona di saah utte jaroor turaga un coucil hon wali vekhi jao jado usa ne kahna india nu give them khalistan ta india ne chup karke bana daina khalistan

Only If the public is willing to protest and die like middle east to get things straight. Which I don't see happening anytime near future.

look in uk british sikh mp and canadian and usa ,,, we r forcing un coucil to force india to make khalistan and all paperwork and everything going ready now jis din usa will say to india make khalistan ,,,, indian will have to ...jidda usa ne syria vich kitta oda hona fir :D: fir tere werge jo hune kahnda nhi banuga ona ne bhi kehna khalistan zindabaad

I'm not against khalistan, paper work te chitiyan likhan nal kush nahi hona. "If you're not ready to die for it, put the word 'freedom' out of your vocabulary." (Malcolm X)

This is the gurdwara I go to, I referred to this in one of my other posts. It was horrible and the gurdwara was closed.

Rahul bai te nek bai ne gal sahi kethi ah. Jawo banalo khalistan, kise gabru nu ja ke pusho khalistan banon bare punjab wich. Jawab melu ga, "lagda pagal ho gaya". Also bhagat singh and udham singh ji ne kadhe wi khalistan ware koi gal nahi kehi si. Instead they were trying to bring all religions together. what bhindrawala did in 1984 is never going to be possible again. Even if it was possible to make khalistan, it will never happen. The United States and United nations would get involved immediately as India and US are strong allies.

I don't understand why you people post the same thing again and again and above doesn't make any sense to me either

Sahi gal kahi bai. This type of information only starts religious fights. I rather just not post anything khalistan related, If I do then all hell breaks loose here.

Almost every religion has sacrifices, but what about those so called proper sikhs with turbans, who drink alcohol everyday? And What about those patthi's who are caught watching porn on their phones and secretly drinking when they are suppose to be reading guru granth sahib. Two days ago there was a fight for pardangi at our local guardwara. They all picked up swords, Six people got arrested and one got seriously injured. Just because you wear a turban does not make you a proper sikh. There are very few people in this world, who are proper sikhs. Does that make me a better sikh than all of these people who drink and do all these things wearing a turban?

i''ll try to answer each point...

Almost every religion has sacrifices,
Really? First of all I don’t agree with that statement. And  if we do take in consideration that every religion has made sacrifices…Sikhism is the only religion that I have read about which has people who went through the worst cruelty an human being can think of not only for their own religions sake but for another religion (Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji- sacrificed his life to save Hinduism). And yeah if it was so easy to become a sikh and not follow the rules that are set to be a “proper sikh” as you say…then why did Bhai Taru Singh Ji, got his scalp scraped but refused to cut his hair.  Yeah possibly, it was due to because rules which he lived by mattered more than his life to him. (Note: sacrifices included, getting your scalp scraped..kids were cut into pieces and thrown into mothers laps so they can give up on their religion and it goes on and on you can go read about it at your own time.)

Like I said before, wearing a turban doesn’t make you a sikh. If you do follow the rules that are set…you wouldn’t be drinking alcohol to start with.

Now that’s because most of us don’t understand how valuable our religion/culture is to us and we take it for granted and we don’t follow the rules..and its pretty sad.

Like I said being a sikh has nothing to do with ur appearance. There are RULES! Which are set from the time of Guru JI and if one can not follow them..they have no right to call themselves a Sikh. That’s how it is. If you can’t deal with it, its your problem you can go read about it. Just someone who happens to wear a turban and “looks” like a sikh doesn’t make them a sikh…it’s the deeds you make and the rehat you have to follow…Dasam Patsah ji ne hi keha “menu sikh nalo rehat pyari” …that explains it all :)

That one is answered above.

wah gi wah, tusi te sanu puri sikhism di history hi sikha dity. Per man gyae gi, pura argument hi khatam kar dita.

w/e then kill someone over religion. No one ever told me or anyone that I know that they are less of a sikh because they don't wear a turban. Like I said people are too crazy about religion overseas. I don't consider my self a very religion person, but I still believe in god and go to temple. Go to a temple and find out yourself, you are less likely to see young boys wearing turbans. Do people tell them to leave temple? No, Because were in 21st century not 15th century. I know a person is suppose to wear a turban, but my post was an OPINION not from a book.

and its a shame on our religion that you dont see very many young people following it ...just because you wear a turban and you dont cut your hair doesnt make you any more of a sikh...like Gill_SS has posted and said several times that inorder to be a proper sikh and to be call a sikh you need to follow rahet..and the reason people don't tell you to leave temple is not because your not sikh or just cause your hair cut BUT it is because our religion welcomes everyone and doesn't descriminate, however, there are set of rules for one to follow.  I'm sorry if it was that easy being a sikh then why are there so many sacrifices made to save sikhism?

i understand that its ur own opinion ...but the way you present your opinion it can send out misleading information on Sikhism.

Pawan, my bf called  you a stupid guy and yes, it does make you less of a sikh if you don't wear a turban and have a beard.  :loll:  If you're wondering, i told him about a sikh dude online(referring to you and your post, because you actually spoke from experience).

I'm still against the idea but, he's not going to change his mind.  :break:   Right now, he looks like a badass i reckon.  :D:

Why do people argue so much on this forum over religion? I may have posted this before but once again, religion isn't above everything. But we have to move with the time, our gurus sacrifice for sikhism will never be forgotten. Praying at a gurdwara and praying at home is same thing. Unlike some people who think they are more religious just because they go to the gurdwara. People over seas tend to be way more religious than people living in Punjab. The thing that annoys me the most is they go extreme over religion.  Bhagat Singh and Udam singh cut their hair, we still treat with so much respect, why? because they did something that made a big difference. Just because Udham Singh changed his name to Ram Mohammed Singh Azad, does it make him less of sikh than all of us? NO. As long as you are making a difference, then you are doing your part as sikh. Now about your situation, I don't know If he wants to wear the turban because he wants to become more connected to sikhism or he wants to wear it for fashion (shounk). Just because I don't wear a turban as of now, it doesn't make me less of sikh than anybody else. Coming generations are less likely to wear turbans.

You can put this both ways. There are also girls who marry NRI guys, when they get to US/Canada, they run away.
