तुधु बिनु रोगु रजाईआं दा ओढण नाग निवासां दे रहिणा ॥

यारड़े दा सानूं स्थरु चंगा भ्ठ खेड़िआं दा रहिणा ॥
Tell my beloved friend,the plight of his humble follower.
Without you,wearing of quilts is a torment.
Residing in mansions is like living among snakes.
A wine flask is like a spike the wine glass hurts like a dagger.
All this, without you, is like a blow from a butcher’s knife.
It is much more preferable to sit on the bare ground in mourning with my
friend.
Than to live in a palaces, which are like a furnace without you.
