I tried writing them out while i was learning the Punjabi alphabets and failed to do so correctly.

you need at least 2-3 weeks to get familiar with these ones before you go any further

Yeah maybe but i already know my punjabi alphabets. But i know i'll struggle trying to write and understand the punjabi way of writing.

its not hard for you to learn the punjabi language. you can always goto a nearby Gurudwara(sikh temple) and get some books from them
make sure you wear punjabi suit and cover your head before you enter the temple. Its a sort of respect for the religion :)

Revise the alphabets. and then read some smaller combination of words. and then you will get profficient in abt 3-4 months time

Sikh temple? I don't know where i'd find one. I'm relying on google and whatever else i can think of. Hehe. I'm a quick learner though i guess.
