Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington on Monday and He expressed concern about the activities of extremist groups and hoped that they would be monitored by Canada.

i have heard some unverified news that reveals about the interset of Indian government into matters of Canadian Sikhs.

India government is spending billions of dollars in Vancouver just to get involve in matters of Sikhs and to keep eye on the activities of sikhs.

The vast population in Vancouver is of Sikhs then Hindu's....and Indian Consulate General office of Vancouver is offering free Hindi classes and they are not interested in teaching Punjabi eventhough most of people are interested in learning Punjabi.

Indian Prime Minister McMahon Singh and the government of India is worried about growing popularity of khalistan in Vancouver area.

The biggest Nagar kirtan held every year in surrey   permotes khalistan and every year the Babbar Khalsa Float and other floats with pictures of Shaheed Singhs and Khalistan Flags. There are a Kavisharee Jatha (on the Babbar Float) that tells the entire history (ithaas) of Babbar Khalsa.

T-shirts and other accesories with Khalistan signs can be seen normally at parade.
and these are things that are making indian government so worried about sikhs and their activities.[/logged]

If they're really concerned about Sikhs, I think they should start by showing it through their 1984 investigations.

Yet, the Indian government has failed to bring the perpetrators of 1984 riots to justice.
Yet, the Indian government has failed to recognize the events of 1984 in their true light.
