Satinder Sartaaj - Ultimate

"On behalf of Satinder Sartaaj and In the light of above facts we will like to provide a detailed account of the situations that led to this issue. The song Man Kunto Maula which has been circulated on the internet is actually a part of Mehfil at Mahalpur back in 2003. Back then Sartaaj was completing his Ph.D. and hadn’t begun writing on his own on a large scale. The mehfil was a friendly performance by Sartaaj for his friends and he sang couplets by Shri Tarlok Singh Judge and other old respected Punjabi poets. Man Kunto Maula itself is a creation of the great poet Amir Khusro.

Man Kunto Maula performed by Sartaaj back in 2003 was a culmination of poetry by many poets. The couplets which contain Sartaaj’s name are his own creations, every other couplet in Man Kunto Maula has come from various poets, one of them being Shri Tarlok Singh Judge. That was a live performance and someone from the audience recorded it and uploaded it online.

Last night (Mar 29,2010) Sartaaj did have a detailed discussion with respected Tarlok Singh Judge and he felt honored and obliged talking to the man himself. He did appreciate the fact that Mr. Tarlok was very co-operative and discussed the matter in a gentle manner. He hopes that everything is clear between them now and everything has been sorted out in an amiable fashion. Sartaaj sends his respects and regards to Mr. Tarlok Singh Judge and all Punjabi poets whom he holds in high esteem.

There was no malign in signing of Man Kunto maula, no intentions of hurting anyone or stealing the credit. Sartaaj sings for the happiness of everyone and doesn’t intend to hurt anyone.

A general note to Sartaaj’s fans: Dosto, all performances are for you, every song and every word is for you. Sartaj is singing and performing for you. A deepest and humble request from his heart is that please stop recording and uploading his performances on internet.

Another important fact is that no account on Facebook or Orkut or any other online website/community is an actual account of Sartaaj. They are all run by Sartaaj’s fans, not him directly. The only authentic site is www.satindersartaaj.com

In the end Satinder Sartaaj hopes that all poets will lend their guiding hands for his support in future and all his fans and friends will keep supporting him.
