For just one moment you held me,
you held me tight in your embrace.
For just five seconds in your arms
I felt as though I'd found my place.

For just one moment you saw me,
into my eyes you took a glance.
My soul was calling out to you,
perhaps I could have had a chance.

For just one moment you spoke to me,
your soft voice whispered in my ear.
I could've sworn you said, "I love you,
forever I will hold you near."

For just one moment you remembered,
what it was like to hold me tight.
Close to your heart where I once was,
when everything was always right.

For just one moment you missed me,
you didn't want to let me go.
Your arms wrapped around my body,
the way they were so long ago.

For just one moment I felt safe
inside your arms so close to you.
My thoughts were whispering "You Miss Him"
maybe you might have heard it too.

For just one moment when you held me,
our hearts were once again together.
Let me think that in your mind
those five seconds meant forever.

My heart found happiness again,
that last moment when you hugged me.
My soul rejoiced because I thought,
for just one moment...you loved me...
