Pehla nazariya ye ke ap apne maazi (past) ko udaas ho kar dheko aur ye socho ke joh huwa woh kyun huwa.. Aur doosra nazriya ye ke ap apne maazi ko ek acha door samjho jis ne apko kuch pal ki behot achi yaadain di hain.. I think you shoul prefer the 2nd option..

We should respect the feelings of others and I really do respect yours too.. Lekin kuch rishte are just not meant to be.. In the replies above I read a few times ke "pyar kiya nahi jata ho jata hai".. Hum toh is baat se thoda disagree karte hain.. Khuda ne insaan ko dil diya hai toh saath maindimaag bhi toh diya hai sochne samajhne ke liye.. Pyar karo kisi ko pasand bhi karo lekin ye shart mat rakho ke ab isko paana bhi hai..

Ye baat toh hum sab hi jaante hain na ke hum dono religion main koi jaga nahi kisi aur mazhab ke insaan se shadi karne ki.. Nor does our culture and its people allowe it.. Toh ap dono ko jis waqt pata chala tha ke ap dono ka mazhab alag hai, ap dono ka kaam banta tha waheen pe ruk jana.. Waheen pe ruk jaate toh itna dhuk na hota jitna ke shayad ab apko hota hoga..

I ought to say that I have much respect for you guys as you both took the right step not to carry on with your relation.. Na us ladki ka kaam banta tha apne parents ko chor dena aur na apka kaam banta tha aisa kuch karna.. If you cant be loyal to your very own parents and religion then I dont think you can be loyal towards your partner too..

Being a Muslim and Pakistani girl myself I can assure you ke agar woh ladki sab chor kar aapse shadi kar bhi leti toh woh khud ko apke mazhab main kabhi dhaal na paati.. Aur ye baat kabhi na kabhi apko bhi ghalat lagne lagti.. Aapne usko jaane de kar na sirf uski balke uske saari khandaan ki izzat bachaay hai.. Uske ami abu ko is umer main pareshaaniyon se bachaya hai..
