To fall in love with someone, you have to know person as a whole. Can't just happen by merely talking to them, it may attract you to them. But the whole love deal requires, yes ofcourse talking, knowing their personality, being in their presence/company...there's a whole bunch of things, I don't feel like typing. You guys can refer to my previous discussions on the 100 previous topics on the same subject. It gets boring to discuss the same rebuttals over and over again.

I hate getting serious but I have to say I think yours is the single most sensible post in this entire thread so far. However, I suppose if ever two people do meet as a result of having a virtual conversation with, what is nothing more than, an avatar it would have the benefit of warm introduction. But even to that point I wouldn’t call it love. At the same time, perhaps infatuation is too strong a term, I might call it intrigue more than anything.

I myself might agree to meet some one from a message board and if that developed into something then fair comment but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

As to falling in love with God because He might be considered “virtual”; to that I would say the love of God is supported by faith. Love for a stranger with whom you have had nothing but a few exchanges on a public message board is not supported by anything but social curiosity; and we know where that leads and, after all, did not curiosity kill the cat.
