Raksha Bandhan HAS No Place in Sikhism
« on: August 13, 2011, 03:31:40 PM »

1.Why would a Khalsa Kaur ever need anyone’s protection when they have the power within them to defend themselves? That is why if the Singh was given a Kirpan, so was a Kaur granted the same. So Rakhrhi Gives Secondrate status to the women.

2.what of those who have no brothers? Who will protect them? What of those who have no sisters, who will pray for their long life and wellbeing? It’s all out of logic for Sikhs

3.A thread is just an illusion

4.ignorantly been accepted in Sikh culture.

5. The Guru, who rejected the spiritual thread that the Hindu Brahmins consider makes them connected to God, in the midst of all the learned Pandits, Brahmins and his own father, would that same Guru accept the far more earthy thread called a ‘rakhi’?

Please friend donot get me wrong but i was confuse about that so i found that on sikhi wedsite u can read aswel click that link

fully agree with jhanda bai
Dekho ji is tra de tyohara rasma da dharam nal bohta sambandh nai. Gal sari yakeen di e k tuc usnu manana e ya nai.
Is dhang nal je dekhiye ta har gal fizool e lagdi e. Apa diwali manaunde aa kyo. Par fir v asi har sal diwali mnaunde a jad k eh ghatna kai sau sal purani ho gayi fir v usnu yaad karde aa. Viah vich kine rasam rivaj ne is hisab nal oh sab v fizool ne. Kine mele lagde ne oh v fizool ne.
So ehna rasma rivaja da sambandh dharam nal ghat te samajik tane bane nal zyada e. Ik dusre prati apnia feelling darshaun te relations vich mithas bharan lai eh sab reet rasma boht role ada kardia ne.
So is tra de reet rivaj sade samajik rishtya de parteek ne.
Sikh dharam katadpanthi nai e . Guru granth sahib ji is di misal ne. Par sikh dharam vich pathar puja di manahi e par fir v dhane bhagat di bani guru sahib vich darj e. Hun tuc eh swal utha sakde o k ik pathar pujan vale di bani kyo darj kiti gayi. Par dhane bhagat da asal maksad rab nu pauna c usne sache dilo us pathar nu e rab manya te rab nu pa lya. So jo dharam da asal maksad e oh pura hoya zaria chahe koi v c.
Guru sahib ne kise dharam nu mada nai kiha mada kiha ta pakhand nu.
So sanu shardha te pakhand vich antar pehla samjhna chahida te bad vich kise nu justify karna chahida.
