SLR - Statutory Liquidity Ratio, as the name suggest is the amount of Liquidity (raw Cash, assests) that a bank/finical organization has to reserve at all time before they start investing (like Government bonds, etc .. I think Mortage also come in there) . Mostly the Centeral Bank (I think) set up a standard for all the bank so that bank dont start using up all its assests - Very Finicial based term and that all i know
