next question (difficult): What part of the Sikh Wedding/laavan shows equality between Men and Women? HINT: There is an action that shows equality (even though some people think it shows in-equality).

Punjabi vich: Jadon ek Sikh viah vich laawan parhiyan jandiya ne, ohdo mard/aurat nu iko jeha darza ditta janda hai, eh kis tara dikhaya janda hai... mein ik chota jeha surakh dina: dheyaan naal socho, ki hunda aa jadon laawan parhiyan jandiya...

punjaban kurhi and gangsta jatti you almost got it...

here's how it works...
the larha (groom) walks first around Sri Guru Granth Sahib, and the bride (larhi) follows him. But at the end, the bride is the one that goes around and reaches first. In other words, the groom gets there second to give equal precendence to the female. This is in one sense equality amongst male and female, which was a revolutionary idea in those times. Tuhanu tan pata hi hona aurat jaat nu kinna badkarda si jamana oss samey vich... Thank you to all for trying...

next question: What is the purpose of Shabeel (chhabil)? Shabeel da ki matlab hai (matlab ke oh kiyon manayi jandi hai). It is the serving of cool/sweet water (and most of the time langar also) to sangat. There are many answers to this. Jehda marzi das dayo!

ehh ki..mainu jitho thakk yaad aa. ki jiddo ferre hunde ne. osh time munda agge hunda te kudi pichye. 4 de char feriya de vich munda he hunda aa.

idk i think shbeel udo de manaye jandi a ... cuz jido ik wari young hoi c than ik person na ladi wich sabhnu pani pilya c chaha oh muzlim c caha oh sikh c so i think ahda perpose is than sabh de pyas bajoni withou thinkin wht he is kk hun m not sure ja rong hoya than sorry i jus tryed it

hanji hunde tan 4 fere hi aa... hanji munda aggey hunda fereya'ch... here are the matlabs for the 3 laavaan:
1 laav: parvirti karam
2 laav: nirmal bhav
3 laav: bairaag
4 laav: sehaj
The equality can be seen when the bride and groom both sit at same level in front of the Guru. The other equality is how the bride approaches at the end of each laav to stand/sit together with the groom.

I guess I'm claiming walking ahead of one another does not show inequality. If it does, I could be wrong about that.

But I should say the walking around Guru Granth Sahib was not written by Guru Ramdas Ji, but the laavan itself (the shabads) were.
