That's incredible work. What kind of engine did you put in it? Do you drive it on the streets?

Well I worked on a simlar kind of thing last term with one of the School Teams . The team is responsible for Making Hydrogen Fuel Car and then goes into the competition every year (and they go so many sponsers).
But I didn't did entirely by myself but just did the safety part of the vehicle - how you keep hydrogen safe so that it dont burn the vehicle.

But You Designed and Fabricated it. That is quite a feat mate. Good job.

Thanks GS ...... i had problem with finances i dint get any sponsor for this project bcaz that was the first tym some one took initiative to do this kind of project in punjab even my college guys dint encourage me fr this Project.... so being from medium class family, keeping maximum amount in my mind i could spend on this car , i could only use 100 CC engine in this car.. but stilll even with that engine i was able to achieve maximum speed on 100KPH...

But i think you need a lighter chassis

My friend made the similar last year and took it to Race circuit in UK London race track and competed against other teams

There are some limitations you need to consider while making something like that.

- body weight shouldn't increase more than certain amount
- Engine specs should be not more than 600 CC engine ( cannot turbo charged - I guess)
- While trying to make a spoiler please re-consider the down force you need
- Talking about wheels you need to make sure how much torque does you engine is producing.
-Where are you going to mount the raditor ? If not is the engine capable of having a aircooling? ( So far only beetle engine doesn't need radiator)
- Steering ( rack and pinion) of course needs to be very light despite of the weight on front.
- Front needs a down force design otherwise the car's nose will lift and can get you into serious trouble
- Idea of having a chain isn't that bad but you should use Maruti - Omni Van's axle for better performance
- Are you going to introduce fuel delivery system?Make sure you do , ground clearance of the car may result in improper fuel delivery.
- Get a staggered set of wheels , because you need light weight alloys for the car plus wider for more grip. You don't have to worry about Offsets just get 285's much better
- Transmission type should be manual but most important about this is the shifting , you cannot introduce a big gear stick makes it much slower to change the gear.

GS bhajii main automotive tan nai but i m a mechanical engineering majoring in engines and heat transfer..Currently doin my masters in michigan :)

Dude this pRoject is already completed in 2007 i know i could hv used lighter chassis but as i told you guys i was going through financial Problem at that tym... so i tried to use scrap as much as i can do this whole car is being fabricated using scrap material except that exterior body... nd Yea main as u asked me i m currently in michigan US doin ma masters here in mech.. what abut u ?? whre from??? nd wat ya doin??
