When it comes to non-indian people, my parents are:

Welcoming and loving. They know white people rock
Awkward. Even i don't know what they're thinking or their opinion
Angry and not so pleased to meet white people.
My parents think white people are bad influence
Ask-lots-of-questions type, very curious parents
This is a bad idea hydro
Indian parents will welcome you to the family
My parents will love you
My father and my mother are very opposite to each other. So one will probably treat you great and the other will treat you bad
Wait, why did you write "my" in option 9? Hahahahaha, did you mean to say indian parents in general?
Hydro, the biggest mistake you will ever make is to meet your indian in laws!
Indian parents are better parents than white parents!!!! wait wait - I'm sure you'll make a great parent yourself hydro :D

Indian parents

For you guys, how are your punjabi parents and other indian parents in general when it comes non-indian people? Specifically white people like me. Do they not mind us, would they welcome us if we were in relationship with their children?  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: Seriously though. Just how welcoming would they be, would they treat non-indians any differently(Doesn't have to be a 'bad' sort of different), would they feel awkward around us, would they more likely to hate us and not ever want to meet us?


I'm meeting my indian in laws next year, they know about me. But you see i'd rather have them be open and honest and say they would not want to meet me, than for them to pretend to like me. I'm not an expert when it comes to dealing with parents so wish me luck
