A Woman's place.
« on: June 16, 2010, 07:27:43 PM »
Back in 2008 a research was conducted in the UK regarding the Woman’s place in life. It was established that the majority of the people felt that a woman’s place is at home. It isn’t that much different in the US, Australia and Europe.  It looks as though nothing much has changed over the centuries.

Where do you believe a woman’s place is?

Nice topic.. to debate about..... :okk:

I think everybody has a need to be respected and to have self-esteem and self-respect.....We tend to engage ourselves in activities that gives us a sense of contribution, to feel accepted and self-valued.....
I give equal respect to homemakers as well as working women..... but wat I've seen in society is that people have a tendency to give more respect to working women...... may be it is the human tendency to add a bit admiration to those who earn money.........
Besides.... It enhances ur confidence after you interact with differnent people in the society, become self reliant for many things and learn new skills......So like men .....womens also have the right to explore the world...so why to sit at home...?? :wait:

In my opinion, research will not decide but  this is the WOMEN herself who has to decide what she wants to do..
if we have to talk about society,  key issue is that of respectability. A "stay-at-home mom" is not considered to have a meaningful role in today's society. Add to this the pressure of having to work in order to make ends meet. Moreover, she is not valued for the many contributions she makes to her family and to the household.this is what i can see these dayz, I dont know about reasearch, but atleast in US i can see everybody want their wives to work outside.

and i understand that its not possible to live life happily if one one member is working..My personal point of view is that if woman need to work at home there is nothing wrong in that..i wud love to do that..staying at home home all the time its simple the best..but at every stage of ur life u have some priorities u can never be successful personally or professionally if ur kids r suffering..so need is to understand ur priorities at right time..:)

Therfore, again same opinion, this is not society but WOMAN herself has to decide her role in society or family..

I guess, theek aa kyada vadda lecture nai hoyea.. :pagel:
