Laptop Help
« on: August 12, 2010, 09:55:15 PM »

Mere laptop da pakha kharaab ho gaya, after 2 minutes of running, it heats up - which, I'm assuming is causing it to freeze. Any suggestions?

On my old laptop I bought one of those dollar store fans and pointed it at the opening on the side. Hopefully that solves your problem until you buy another one.

If its still running how can you say its not working

You need to change the fan buy off ebay or take it to store and get it fixed. under 50 dollars I am assuming

it works, but it tends to freeze very frequently

Doesn't mean there is a hardware issue can be software issue to. Re-install windows or restore  your laptop to factory setting and see if the problem still exists

My solution is cheap, you might look like a complete dork setting up in class though. I'm sure you know how to open it up and change a fan. :P Youtube has pretty good video tutorials.

Could be some random program running in the backround... Try a spyware and antivirus scan. Or save all your precious files and give it a format.

ya its a common prob wd laptops.....just keep in mind not to place ur laptop on table bed etc...means not on surface but in ur lap ...up in air so it cools down....using fan in front of opening will help too...

Windows Vista is stupid anyways
better upgrade it to Windows 7 which is much more better than that

Simari ji you might have some task setup or anything that makes it startup at 12:00 or can be a spyware/virus too. Get it checked if you can.

Overheating can decrease performance. If you use the laptop very limited, like only at home, you can make use of a laptop cooling pad: http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/electronics/2243862011

Do it my way.

Buy a normal table fan and point it towards your laptop.

While, I'm in class, this solution may not be of the best convenience.
