X-Men: First Class - One of the best movies of 2011. So entertaining, and explains the X-Men story very clearly (although it also rewrites the history that the previous movies had). I hope they build upon this story because it shows more promise than the older story.

Chevan Dariya - Pehla hissa film da bekar aa kionki oh pyar pyoor de chakran'ch chalayi jande, par duje hissey vich smajak masleyan utte vichar shuru hojande. Fer shuru hundi asli movie. Dekhleyo je duja hissa dekhna, pehla ta fast forward karke dekhan wala aa. Sardar munde di jagah menu lehna chahida film vich, fer dekheya kidhan pehnde charate.

Human Centipede - one of the slightly grossest movies, failed by bad acting! Don't recommend it.

(I think I'm the only horror fan on here :hehe: )

I watched Insidious today. Second half of the movie gets scary, I only enjoyed that part.

I think I wrote a review on insidious earlier - the movie was such a disappointment!

Exorcism of Emily Rose - one of my favs of horror genre.

You must have forgotten to post it. I wouldn't have watched it if you had said that. iMDB had 7/10 rating, so I gave it a shot.

Source Code - Killer fun, I love these non-fiction movies with an exhilarating, mission-type plot line. Recommended.

Limitless - Right up there with Source Code. Makes you envious of not having a pill that could transform you like it does the main character. Inception opened the door to plots like this. Recommended.

The Conspirator - Good judicial/court movie. Shia LaBeouf has his time in a lawyer role. Pretty good in my book.

lincoln Lawyer - Drama movie.keeps you on edge or ur seat. every corner has surprise.... very nice movie though..

Apocalypto - directed by Mel Gibson. Movie based on Mayan civilization. Subtitles. Loved the movie, eventhough, I'm not much of a subtitles fan, the movie just draws you in...it shows horrors of war and inhumanity against ourselves. Highly intense. Don't watch it, if you have a weak stomach. (some nudity, as they didn't really wear clothes back then)

Hindi:

Do Phool: I've seen this movie probably 50 times, It's funny each and every time. Mahmood dressed up as a sheik from dubai is just too much. The songs are also good. The scene where Mahmood and Vinod Mehra build their own tomb is one of the best scenes in the movie. If you want to see it, there's a copy on youtube.

Budtameez: Old Shammi Kapoor movie. Not his best movie, but an enjoyable passtime none the less. Most of Shammi Kapoor's songs are by Mohd Rafi, so that's always a plus. "Budtameez kaho, ya kaho janwar" is probably the best song in the movie.

Don't watch it!

It's stupid, dumbified with some rat-like creatures, who are apparently suppose to scare you!

Jane Eyre - Good. If you're read the novel or not, you'll enjoy this. It's an old story of a governess falling in love with her employer. Got a good twist in the story.

The Warrior's Way - Average. A lot of people hate it, but I liked it. It's artistic (like 300) ninja-style movie set in the US West. It's mindless a lot of times, but the fighting delivers.

The Bang Bang Club - Very Good. Real life story about 4 combat photographers covering South Africa's feuds (when apartheid was almost over).

Trust - Very good. About an online sexual predator that destroys everything a family has. There are times in the movie when it gets hard to breathe, so be careful of what you get into.

Paranormal Activity 3 - I had to see it! :hehe:
It actually goes into the history of Paranormal Activity 2 in the sense how everything started. I would say it is better than the other 2 parts. It engages the audience more and the tricks are slightly better, however the same old. All the reviews stated the last 10 minutes are the most terrifying - all statements false! The ending was pretty weak. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. :pagel: Had to hide in the blankets to sleep at night :hehe:

Immortals - directed by Tarseem Singh. B+. Could've used more fight scenes. Nonetheless, the battles were filled with gore events, pretty nasty torture scenes! :pagel: Plenty of eye candy :love: If you have seen 300, the fights scenes had a lot of simmilarities. It reminded me of Mahabharat a little bit :hehe: I would say this is definitely worth seeing in the theater, the visual/sound effects make it more exciting!

Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides - Probably the first POTC movie that I've enjoyed. Well done Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).

Sucker Punch - The guy who made 300/Watchmen/etc, Zach Snyder directed it. It has the same cinematic appeal as his other movies, very artistic. Fun to watch, not deep enough.

The Beaver - Mel Gibson still got it, delivers a emotionally sound performance. Good one.

The Fall - Same guy who directed Immortals, The Cell -- Tarsem Singh. Artistically one of the best cinematic scenes. It's not well developed to be a mainstream movie, feels more like a way to showoff the skills of Tarsem Singh.

The Fountain - Director of Pi, Black Swan -- Darren Aronofsky. Another artistically sound movie, but sometimes the story doesn't connect and too much is left at the viewer to try to forcefully connect.

Jine Mera Dil Luteya - Very funny. Worth watching with the family too. Diljit and Gippy Grewal both deliver, te dona di dosti jachdi aa.

Yaar Anmulle - Ehni funny ni par lokan ne "cheeji" kar kar mashoor karti film. Mein ta akheer tak bore hogeya si. Munda bahut sukka jeha, ohnu Superman banayeo aa. Bhotu Shah te Kake Shah da vi kuch vadiya istmaal ni kita. Par sare actor nave aa ki pata aggey jake koi rang dikhawan.

English

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - One of the best of 2011. This is a recommended watch for all. The acting by the main ape is worth an Oscar.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Gallows Part 2 - I usually find these Harry Potter movies boring, but this one was an exception. That's a good thing, so it was fun to watch.

Horrible Bosses - Very funny, but explicit so 18+ only. The comedy is near the levels of The Hangover movies. Plus our workaholic PJ people will enjoy it.

Hindi/Pakistani:

Bol! - Probably one of the best movie of 2011. Hindi movies cannot match this story line at all. It's about a family with a khusra (gay/eunuch) child with lots of daughters and how the family faces problems in Pakistan. It's not for kids, but nobody should miss this one.

English:

Waste land - Documentary about the biggest dumping ground (landfills) in the world, located in Brazil. How without recycling there is tons of trash being put out everyday. Opens up your eyes. It's on the top on Rotten Tomatoes, so it's worth checking out for all people that like documentaries.
