FASTER: Featuring ROCK ( wrestler) who was prisoned for involvement in the Robery case and his brother was killed during that and after he gets bail from JAIL the first thing he does is to find out the names of people who killed his brother and goes and kill them. GOOD movie.

The King's Speech - Winner of Oscar's Best Picture, Best Actor, and a couple others. This movie is about a struggling British King trying lead the nation to prepare for WW2. The acting is amazingly done. It especially touches hearts of those who have trouble speaking publicly or even in general life. A+

Black Swan - Warning: For adults only because of a few scenes. But it is one of the best movies of 2010. It will scare you and mess with your head if you are one of those people, so be careful. It is about a ballet dancer's struggle to portray a dangerous performance role in a musical play. It was nominated for the Best Pictures award along with Best Actress for Natalie Portman in Oscars. A+

The Fighter - Mark Wahlberg, Melissa Leo and Christian Bale's best performance. This movie is made in the town Lowell near where I live in Mass. I can attest for the excellent work in accent and regional setup of the movie. It's about 2 boxer brothers. Highly entertaining and recommended to all to watch.

True Grit - Nominated for Best Pictures - About a young girl going on a mission to fight against those who killed her dad. Set in the second part of 20th century. Fun movie that will keep you interested.

127 Hours - Useless movie about a guy trapped under a boulder in Arizona or something. AR Rahman did the music if you care, and the Slumdog Millionaire director (Danny Boyle) directed it.

PS: I won a prize at work for guessing the most Oscars winners correctly. :won:

I saw king's speech today and came to this thread write about that .. amazingggg movie .. I think everyone who likes substance cinema would love the movie ... Awesome!

I am def adding teh DVD to my collection!

Due Date - Zach Galifianakis delivers a very funny performance. Robert Downy Jr does his role good as usual. My friends love funny movies, so this was an easy one to pick. Watch it, you'll like it.

Alice in Wonderland - A bit boring at times, but otherwise fun animations. I had forgotten the story of the original Alice in Wonderland, so I watched this. Some nostalgia.

Guzaarish - Mostly boring.

i wouldn't describe black swan like that...

its more about standing up against peer and parental pressure. I think all desi's should watch it.

Inside Job - Documentary about Wall Street's greed - The whole world was affected by the way in which the American banks worked to bring quick profits. It shows how wrong it was for the governments to bail out their banks. And how it hasn't punished the banks that gambled with America's working class's future (as well as the rest of the world I guess). Very informative piece. It won an Oscar so trust me it will not waste your time.

Patiala House - Fun movie for all (especially Punjabis). First time I've seen Anushka Sharma act, she was impressively good in her role. She also revealed who the girl in Kudrat's display pic was.

Fair Game - Sean Penn and Naomi Watts deliver in this one. It shows a world of undercover CIA operatives and operations. Also the main point is showing how much of an impact media has on the world, especially in the US. Watch it and it'll open up your eyes, if they haven't already been open. Media used to be about reporting news, but now it has become a way to create news. (While watching this 2011 Ramdev episode, I kept thinking about how the government was using media at their disposal.)

Hereafter - Directed by Clint Eastwood. He's been directing really good movies. This one is in between good and bad. It is an emotional, but seems over the top sometimes because of the coincidences used to connect the plot.

Dhaliwal saab, tusi Bollywood Movie di gal kar rahe ho.

I like movies directed by Christopher Nolan... so I watched 2 this weekend. BTW, he's the director of Batman, Inception, Memento... etc.

Following: Nolan's first movie (indie), when he started film making. Full of twists. If you appreciated Memento, you will also appreciate this movie. Movies that make you think... it defines what Nolan stands for. Recommended.

Insomnia: Detective movie about a murder mystery and what happens when the lines of right and wrong get blurred. Recommended.

Transformer - Dark of the Moon.
I think the movie was way too long around 2 hr 45 mins, it sometime seems like as if you watching a bollywood movie. In the end, the fighting of transformers last about 45 min - 1 hr, which make it a bit boring
Overall the graphics have improved a lot - Now you can actually see transformer fighting which is cool - The thing that was missing in first two part.
3D - Effect: I didn't experience breath taking 3D effects, which everyone was claiming. They are ok, every now and then you see something in 3D, otherwise the movie is almost in 2D.
Storyline - Transformer 2 didn't had a story. But this one does have one. Overall this movie is better than Transformer 2 but not as good as transformer 1.

The Experiment - remake of a German film Das Experiment. Forest Whitaker acted phenomenally. It's a movie based on how one's behaviour changes when placed in a certain situation. Strongly recommend, if you are a psychology freak!

I like Forest Whitaker and found the movie interesting in the sense that it showed how behavior changes... reminds a lot about Nazi Germany.

Lincoln Lawyer - Matthew McConaughey is known for making useless chick flicks, but this time he's outdone himself and made a twistful movie about a smart lawyer representing clients with questionable motives. BTW, the movie title doesn't seem rightly chosen, but the movie itself is recommended.
