Intrepid Chinese farmer, Gao Xianzhange, is growing pears in the shape of a baby Buddha!

Gao spent seven years creating and perfecting the mold that the pears grow inside and into, shaping them into the deity. The fruits of his labor, sold in Asia and Europe, run a hefty £5 per pear. Since he has produced 10,000 fruits during this season at the time of this writing, it appears that Gao's Buddhas are indeed very lucky!
