I was just doing bit introspection over my life. then this topic pop up in my mind. I would like to hear all of you guys attitude towards your life too. Like this tactile game of getting ahead. Is it better to approach life with great hope or sense of doom. A glass half full attitude is generally beneficial to your mental, physical and emotional health but stark realism is sometimes tactic . Well, understand, every situation is unique. but What do you think which one is the best one

1. When you expect the best.
2. When you expect the worst
3. or expect the best realistically.
4. or you are more of philosophical...

About me- I always like to start with the worst.. this gives me tension and my urgent need to work over that particular situation, otherwise i don't move, if i am confident about something. Well, this depends on specific situation too.. but in starting,i am pessimistic most of the time , because when i do fine in that situation then this gives me pleasure.. so i usually expect the worst so that later on if something go wrong i don't feel depressed.

My life story...what ever i think it always happens the opposite...then i try to think opposite of what i want it to be....that way things will happen the way i want them to be....But after while i get confuse....

i'm just glad that i made this far....and want to achieve what no one else have achieved yet...so i got to do things no one else have done..

To the most important things in life, I usually give it all I got, and deal with the end result later. Whether, it's positive or negative. If negative, at least, I don't have anything to regret...when I put my best-self forward. It also varies on how much I want it! When I want it, I like to get it, however, it doesn't always happen...leads to some disappointment...but, hey, tomorrow's another day, and I end up getting distracted with something else that's lingering

Smallest things - I usually put them in the back of my head and I think these bother me the most. It's a daily nag, that there is something there.However, I won't deal with because it's not that important.

For me, cumulative stress effect is the most from the smalles things in my life...as, I tend to let them linger for too long.

I would say I’m pretty pessimistic about things. I generally believe we don’t have control over any aspect of our lives. We have a good instinct about things and have an idea about the probability of an event occurring, but believing that I have control over any aspect of my life is very amusing to me. We can try our hardest to steer the direction we want to go, but life's head winds are sometimes too strong.

I think you get the point. I’ll just finish off with an example.

My job is a bit strange because every few months there are a shuffle of jobs. It’s odd, but if you get sick of where your working you know you have the opportunity to switch in 5-6 months. Well anyways, I went a bit early to see what spots are left a few weeks ago, because my seniority isn’t the greatest. After I checked that most of my top choices were already taken, I go to my friend I bet God is sitting back in his cozy chair and laughing his ass off watching us stress out over this shit.

That is a circumstantial situation, but the idea applies all the time. I generally have an open and imaginative perspective on things. (That’s without help, imagine that 8-> )

With life I have learnt to expect the best realistically. Not too much ... not too less. In either case I will loose happiness or success. So best is to expect what is realistically possible. I am glad I learned this soon.

I am a practically optimistic person.

My simple rule of life is : " aun deyo dekhi jau"

There is no point of making strategies to tackle your good or bad times. I just do what I can :)

You are kind of pessimistic too.. well, I think a lot of pessimism i can see in your first two lines.. but i don't know what kind of achievement you have talked in next lines... its bit confused here..
