Separation of Church (Religion) and State (Govt)
Grenade Singh:
Punjabi:
Loki kehnde aa ke dharam te sarkar vich farak hona chahida. Dono kathe ni hone chahide, tuhanu kii lagda?
- Ajj kal di khabar hi sunlayo... loki kehnde aa ke Ramdev nu politics vich ni hona chaida? Ja fir ke government nu dharmik ni hona chaida (like the Arab world)?
English:
I hear people say a lot of times that separation of church and state is important. People say that it causes a lot of problems. Recent news shows Ramdev trying to cross from yoga to politics, or how the Arab world is repeatedly criticized for being theocratic, rather than democratic, or religious rather than secular. What do you think?

veer dharam bhi ta ohi chalda jis dharam di sarkar hove like usa vich english lokka di sarkar ta ona da dharam wadiya naal chalda thr ,,, hun apna dharam vekhla india vich hindu di sarkar and sikha da ki haal hunda 1984 example
goverment is powerfull then religion now a days
like muslim country vich vekhla dujje religion de dharam de lokka naal force convertion all tht
Vehlejatt:
Dharm vich kattarta aa jandi hai...jiddan ki loki punjab vich badal nu votan paunde ne kyunki eh panth nu vote hai....rather than going for the better suitable person or party...i say keep them seperate because voting shudnt be on emotions

The US doesn't have one religion and the govt. isn't promoting any religion though there cases where church and state do mix.
I think it depends on the situation. I think the two shouldn't be mixed if your promoting one religion over another, or making certain religious laws that cause damage to the country.
From what I've seen on the news abt the ramdev baba incident I found it quite nice to see representatives from different religions there. The unity between all the religions to go against corruption. In this case I think its absolutely fine for religion to interfere with the government. Since all the religions are working together and fighting for a good cause I see nothing but benefits. But I think doing so it will be quite complicated and needs a lot of order.
