I think its completely wrong n stupid.. If that the case.. We are also a Miniority in Canada... Why we not given any extra right.. Same goes for any other immigrant .. But the problem is everyone know its rong but no one want to take the intiative.

I m not going to point a finger but to me Indian education is lossing the way.. Especially now..

Currently just in Punjab there are more than 55 engineering colleges. So let do simple maths....

Assume 60 students are in each engineering branch .. n 6-7 branches ..
So every year about 25000 engineers graduate from alone punjab colleges.. Many Punjabi students also goes out in other states too
So let take a round figure of 25000 student and there are 27 states..
To get a fair estimate assume the states to be 20 .. So in total 500,000 students become engineers each year.. Now how would you generate 500,000 jobs every year .. N this dont include IIT and AIEEE stuff..
So Government dont cause unempolyment its the education system that causing it

And this is just engineer.. THink about Medical, Arts.. ETC ETC..

And on Top of that the students are doing masters PHd's ..Current status says that India has Most Phd's in the entire world.. Well why cause No one knows.... you ask a student why you doing it.. they dont know.. Ask them Why they choose engg .. They dont know?

i have already mentioned above.. its the policies which are making things worse.. though we have something to cheer about but it comes with more drawbacks and disadvantages rather then advantages.. and its in almost every public govt. sector in india.

This is one of India's worst policy, possibly one that makes India biased and immoral. In India, a 33% is becoming a doctor while a 60+% is having a hard time getting anything. What is more immoral than that? This special status was supposed to last for 30 years, but then Indira Gandhi came and extended it; then when it was about to end again, her son Rajiv Gandhi did the same damned thing. These policies will not end, because the majority population (ironically referred to as minority) doesn't want them to. And the spineless politicians will not stand against it because of their votes. These policies are plain racist. Dr Ambedkar may be a saint to some, but his policies have done a lot of wrong in India. I hope the people open their eyes to see it.

The real truth of the matter is that these policies do not benefit India's reputation or the public. These very policies make young people hopeless in India, when they know they won't get jobs. I know my parents once mentioned to me why we moved to United States; policies like these force the people to think about what kind of a future a country will guarantee them if they work hard enough.

Personally, if the people of my caste/religion/culture are offered a higher position, not because of merit, but because of their belonging, I would hate it and stand against it. I know it may be easy to say for a person who has enough money now, but I do not want to think that I would be happy with such a merit-less promotion.

The Indian constitution doesn't have a problem with it, the people who claim it do not have a problem with filling it out on legal forms, why would you think it is offensive to mention. If anybody does use any other word, I think a new reader would easily confuse the matter. One confusion may be that "Sikhs" are also a minority in India's population, but they are not part of SC/BC. It may also mean that one is shying away from the truth. Like say, the word "Indians" or "Native Americans" are both not exactly right, example: "natives" implies that the people are not cultured and "indians" implies that they are from India; but they are both still used on legal forms, history, etc.
