Ih Sikh dharam da flag aa teh sade dharam di mohr aa es dharti teh.. even we use Sahib word along with Nishan to show our respect. teh es Jhanda Sahib utte bahut hi paviter khanda Sahib baniya hunda so appa matha tek ke apni respect express karde aa...

Nishan Sahib da mahatav:
Its a symbol which show the people that guru Granth sahib exist in this building.
Its a symbol which show the people that this place gives education to sikh, here a person who is travelling can find food, shelter, shower etc.

So matha takana kevve wich ayya.

Let me give a senario: A person who is sikh should only bow infornt of Guru Granth Sahib, so why bowing infornt of Nishan sahib exist? ... That is not a guru,but just a symbol of place - so that the identification of gurudwara can be made easily.

- Also tusse gurudware javoo.. Janta lokka de Joree charde ee teh ohna nu matha takke jande aa..(bhee jenna de jorre aa, oh kehre bhagat aa) challo being polite is one thing but jehre rehat mariyada aa ohnu Kayam rehan do.

This then extend to people bowing to people and calling them Guru.

ok let me give you example here.. Jado appa  historical Gurdwara sahib vich jande aa tah Guruji de  (khudawa) slippers, Hathiyar , anything which is related to them , ohna nu matha tekde aa.. kyunki chahe ih sab cheejan materialistic ne, par ih sab sanu Guru naal jordiyan ne.. so as long as you remember real meaning of Guru's shabad this bowing down is not in vein.. ih tuhadi politeness, humbleness express show kardi aa, joki sanu Guru Granth Sahibji Sikhayunde ne...
ha je tusi Shabad da meaning nai samjhde fir tah Guru Granth Sahib agge jhukna v Vyarth aa..


Same goes with Sangat's jode.. appa nai koyee nai aa judge karan wale ke kaun Guruji da bhagat aa kaun nai aa..
So whosoever comes in Sangat, We should show respect to them..


Therefore, We should not discourage anyone from doing this..

its not about judging someone, its just a different point of view... main eh nai kehda ke kesse de jodee charro teh mathaa na tekke... oh teh sariya ne apde marji karne aaa.. main teh bus enne gal kahhe hai.. ke jodde charde oo teh ke odde teh matha tekna theek hai?


bakke rahi respect de gal ... ek gal dusda aa.


This s what happened to me today - I dont like people touching my jorree.. so I usually put them high in the rack myself rather than leaving on the floor. Then I saw an elderly lady who was doing sewa in Jodhee gharr.. and she touched my shoes and put the same hand to the forehead - I got sad n offended.. I mean who m I, that an olderly woman touched my feet? - So I think in our religion lot of things miss a standard... I dont recall anywhere in the bani its said that when you do sewa in Jodhe ghar - do this way. But it is just a developed custom which a person saw other person doing it and they keep on repeating it. 

My view is if someone goes to a place and bow to person (Babba) or bowing to materistic things or someone jodde is one same thing. I think the babba might be a higher position, as he dont do drugs as i do or do his nitnem in the morning.
