Hypothetical Question about a Sikh family adopting a non-Sikh child

Considering doing Seva is an important part of Sikhism, adopting any child from any background is a great seva!

Regarding the child's religion, in the case of an older child (8-10+?) maybe they feel they belong to the religion they have been raised in for a while, I don't see it as a problem with respecting their current religion and yet teaching them the universal truths we have learned from the guruji's.

Giv a child the spiritual guidance to help them on their path is very important and something I'd think you'd want to give them. Raise them and build their foundation as best you can, I would say as a Sikh, since that's probably the strongest knowledge you have to share. I think also, are you raising this child as YOUR child, if so, wouldn't you raise t
