Do you guys know any Sikhs in the Marines?

I ship out for Boot camp October 24th


just wanted to see if any Sikhs were in the marines already or leaving for boot camp in the near future?

Nice move.

There has been some Sikhs joining the Army, but don't know about the Marines. The Sikhs that joined the Army, Capt. Tejdeep Singh Rattan and Simran Preet Singh Lamba are highly celebrated in the community. Tejdeep was specially invited to the NYC Sikh Day Parade and so many people were lining up to take pictures with him.

If you join, I would imagine you would be received similarly (if you are a turban wearing Sikh that is).

PS: One of my friend is getting into Air Force.

yeah i saw that forum, there will always be a select few that are like that :P

btw my brother is in the Air Force, he just recently graduated from basic training and is currently in tech school in the medic training :O

I don't know of any. The only boot camp I'm familiar with is the one my parents created for me.

But Congrats, should be exciting to say the least.

All the white trash is posting on there. Stupid red necks just fire their shot guns and ride horses all day instead of learning anything useful about other cultures.
