Cyberspace lingo - lost in acronyms

What do you guys think of them?
 
ex: SMH, TC, WB, IDK, FML, etc...
 
The other day someone sent me a message with every other letter missing in a word, I thought I was reading another language. Maybe, I'm just a neurotic mess, but I find them irritating.
 
How long does it really take you to type a complete word?

I think it's okay to a certain point. Maybe a word here and there. They were used so often before because it was easier to type on the phone, but now with the new phones there shouldn't be an excuse to type like that.

I do get lazy sometimes and write words like tomorrow as tomm. or talk to you later as ttyl. But its not as bad =/

No, it's just for discussion sake. I agree it's ok to use it here and there, I do so myself at times. However, some people over due it...lots of examples can be found on PJ itself!

Lol alright. Yeah I don't use it a whole lot, usually when I'm in the middle of something and on my phone. Otherwise I trying writing properly.

Imagine, when we have kids, we are not going to have any idea what the hell they're typing :loll: as the slangs/acronyms would have drastically changed by then :hehe:
