Does india have access to contraception methods to prevent pregnancy/fertilisation? Such as birth control pills, sterilisation, vasectomy, male and female condom, diaphragm, injection etc? It seems to me that it doesn't. That or people don't bother to use pills or get vasectomy. Why isn't contraception or abstinence being encouraged?

Noor Grewal:
Having an OB/GYN background, I did some research on India and having contraceptives. Only a small amount of people have access to oral/IM/ or IUD contraceptives. Some people can get it but due to the cost, they are not able to. And it is very easy and cheap for men to get condoms, but the ego stands in the way. I hope this help
