All replies in the same day will be added to the same day. So just wait 24 hours, this will solve double posts, even when people don't rights to edit their original posts. It will help reduce double posts.

This makes no sense, especially if there is a discussion in play. The users replies are just going to get clumped with their initial replies leading to confusion. It may reduce double posts, but you have to look at the big picture. If you're concerned about spam, let the mods deal with it.

I misstated, the auto-merge only happens when you reply consecutively. It won't interfere with any conversation between people.

- Double posts duplicates your metadata, search engines don't like duplication of data.
