Holden VL Turbo (Old School)

Aussie













Engine: Nissan RB30ET 3.0Ltr EFI SOHC six cylinder.
Power: 150Kw @ 5600 RPM
EFI: Nissan
Exhaust: 2 1/4 inch.
Turbo: TO-3 non intercooled.
Boost: 7PSI
Trans: Jatco 4spd Automatic Stall: 2,200RPM or 5 Speed Manual.
Diff: RWD Borg Warner 4 Pinion, 28 Spline LSD. 3.45:1 (also available in NON-LSD 4 pinion)
Tyres: 205x65x15

Mere Veer, a few years back I had one of these. Click on the link.

It's a Rover SD1, I don't know if they sold them in Aus but it had a 3.5litre V8 with EFi. It was fantastic classic 70's early 80's car. The UK Police used them too.

bhaji there was a similar car ditto sitting in garage in hoshiarpur ( when i was there in india) and loved it .. i wanted to get one of these but then i came here..

they good cars hehe

You know what is funny, the engine to that car was developed in the States. It was abandoned by GM. A British Leyland engineer spotted it sitting in a dusty corner of a GM factory. He bought the rights to it and fitted it to an earlier Rover way back in 1968. That engine and all of it's variants ran for 40 years in about twenty different cars. It was only killed off about three years ago. :surp:

That's right, Rover is history now. It went bust a few years back. However, BMW bought the rights to the Mini and it is the only production vehicle left which had it's roots in British Leyland and Rover. It is a shame really.  :sad:
