John Frieda has got some nice hair products,
Otherwise try Elvive, or Garnier.

~~garlic & onion hair loss remedies~~
« Reply #56 on: April 20, 2010, 05:42:32 PM »
A natural hair loss remedy can be done with herbs, massage or natural diet methods. People doing these remedies with hopes that no side effect would appear. Garlic and onion can be used as alternatives of herbal hair loss remedy.

Garlic is not just good for our body, but also for our hair. Garlic extract can remove and destroy harmful toxins and stimulate blood circulation, important in the scalp for proper hair care and growth and prevent hair loss. Addition of garlic extract in shampoo helps to keep hair strong, preventing breakage and hair loss, while adding significant body and shine. For those with dry hair or itchy scalps, the garlic extract shampoos also provide relief from the irritating symptoms.

How can we use garlic for hair loss remedy? - An hour before bedtime, slice open a clove of garlic and rub it on the hair loss area. Wait for an hour then massage the scalp with olive oil. Put on a cap and go to bed. In the morning, shampoo your hair. Repeat this remedy for a few weeks, and hopefully hair will stop falling out and re-grow.

Onion (Allium cepa) recognised with healing qualities include their antibacterial, cleansing, stimulating, and nourishing powers. Onions contain a number of important minerals and vitamins, such as vitamins C and B6, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and germanium. Onion also has a high sulfur content. Sulphur is a mineral present in every cell in our body, with its greatest concentration in hair, skin and nails. It has often been called the “beauty mineral” and the “healing mineral” because of its ability to promote circulation and decrease inflammation. These qualities also lend to the theory that adequate amounts of sulphur can jump-start hair growth in people with deficiencies. High amounts of sulphur in onions make them particularly effective in regenerating hair follicles and stimulating hair regrowth. In addition, naturally-concentrated sulphur compounds have been proven to show additional hair-restoring.

Hair loss remedy with onion - apply freshly-squeezed, raw onion juice directly onto the scalp, massage deep into the scalp and hair roots. Left on the scalp for about half-an-hour before shampooing. Do these treatments everyday. In most cases, regular onion treatments will result in dramatic improvement of hair thickness within just several months. Since onion juice restores hair follicles and improves scalp circulation, it will help to promote the strong-hair growth.

~~get smooth and silky hair~~
« Reply #58 on: April 20, 2010, 05:44:47 PM »
Smooth and silky hair is the most important factor in beauty. Blow drying your hair is one of the tool in preserving delicate hair. It is also the best method to straighten out your curl, provided you do it right way. Carelessness in handling the heat on your hair may damage them permanently. Blow drying is an effective method in adding volume to your hair. Add brilliance and shine to your hair with right blow drying and styling. Here are few tips that can be used to blow dry your hair to ensure your hair is kept in good condition despite the toll everyday wear and tear can have.

heena and yoghurt mixed together , nourish , protect and give hair a healthy shine. for stronger roots rub warm olive oil and then wrap a hot towel for 5 minutes so your pores can open and scalp can absorb oil. It really does work!

Shampoo of Multani Clay Immerse 100 gm multani clay in water. After two hours make a paste and apply gently in the hair. Wash the hair after 5-10 minutes in winters with warm water and normal water in summers. If hair is very dirty do it twice a week; the hair becomes soft, silky and long. It brings a cool and light feeling.

Natural bristle brushes are preferable to plastic and polyester bristles. They are gentler on the hair. Unless your brush has natural bristles, you should never brush wet hair, as wet hair tends to snap easily.

Shampoo of flour of gram pulses Apply paste of flour of gram pulse made with water on the hair twice a week and wash the hand after an hour. The hair becomes black, dense, clean, shining and soft. It also relieves itching or cures boils in the head.

Ceramic styling hair brush is good for medium to long hair styles because it helps to manage long hair and eliminate static electricity. You will be even able to create soft waves that will frame your face and make it look gorgeous.

Most stylists recommend a trim every six weeks. A regular trim will help prevent or get rid of split ends. Often, it's not the entire head of hair that needs the fix - just the dried out ends. If you're trying to grow your hair out and are freaked by the prospect of a cut, just make sure you clearly advise your stylist to cut off only up to the line of damage. Plus, seeing your hairdresser on a consistent basis will allow him or her to assess your hair during each visit, and help you get your hair to its maximum beauty potential. Consider it a regular checkup.

Wide-toothed comb for detangling hair after and before washing. Every time you are preparing to wash your hair you should make a detangling first. This will help you lessen the risk of mechanical damage during washing and make the after-washing detangling easier, thus eliminating more mechanical damage. Such combs should be of antistatic material, so read labels carefully and make sure you won’t harm your hair with poor quality product.
